State police may clash with federal police – Shehu Sani
A former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has once again kicked against the establishment of state police.
Posting on his X, Sani said there is a possibility of state police clashing with the federal police in a case between the two tiers of government.
“When you have State Police, that is how they will be exchanging fire with the Federal Police, in case of conflict between the State and the Federal Government,” he said.
The former senator spoke against the backdrop of reports that President Bola Tinubu and state governors are considering the possibility of introducing state police to solve the country’s security challenges.
