Residents of Shavoh, a neighborhood in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, are living in fear following reports of suspected gunmen patrolling the area on Sunday night. Eyewitnesses claim the unidentified individuals, who were armed with dangerous weapons, were seen monitoring homes during the early hours of Monday, heightening the growing tension in the community.
The presence of these suspicious figures, who were reportedly moving stealthily through the streets, has left residents fearful for their safety. Many have expressed concern for the security of their homes, with one resident stating, “We no longer feel safe even in our own homes.”
