“Taraba Government Applauds 6 Brigade for Outstanding Security Efforts”
Governor Agbu Kefas’s administration in Taraba State has extended heartfelt gratitude to the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army for its exceptional dedication to preserving peace and security in the state. The recognition came during the 2024 Combined Headquarters 6 Brigade Nigerian Army West African Social Activities (WASA) held at Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo.
On behalf of the governor, Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Secretary to the State Government, took the stage to commend the Brigade for its tireless efforts in tackling insecurity, emphasizing that the state government remains fully committed to supporting the Brigade’s operations throughout 2025.
“The government is deeply appreciative of the professionalism and commitment displayed by the 6 Brigade in ensuring the safety of our communities,” Kataps remarked.
Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, the Commander of the 6 Brigade and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke, underscored the significance of the WASA celebration. He described it as an opportunity to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, while honoring the unwavering resilience and professionalism of the Brigade’s troops.
“Despite the numerous security challenges, we have minimized threats through sheer determination and expertise,” General Uwa shared.
He also expressed gratitude for the state government’s assistance, particularly in the provision of vital logistics to bolster operations. General Uwa assured the citizens of Taraba that the 6 Brigade remains steadfast in its mission to protect the nation’s territorial integrity and collaborate with civil authorities to maintain peace and security in the state.
