“Tinubu Orders Military to End Banditry and Insecurity by 2025”

President Bola Tinubu has given the Nigerian military a firm deadline to eliminate banditry and general insecurity across the country by the end of 2025. This directive was revealed by the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, in a viral video.

In response to the president’s orders, Badaru affirmed that the military would intensify its efforts in combating bandits and all forms of criminal activities. He disclosed that bandits are currently on the run but assured the public that the military would not relent until they are completely eradicated.

“The bandits are now on the run, but the military will not rest until we end this menace,” Badaru stated. “The president has given us marching orders to ensure that insecurity is fully addressed across every part of the country by the end of this year.”

Badaru also mentioned that the Chief of Defence Staff and the National Security Adviser (NSA) are working tirelessly to meet the set target, with ongoing operations putting significant pressure on criminal elements. Additionally, he noted that mining activities in Zamfara have already been lifted, a measure part of the broader strategy to resolve security challenges.

“The military is taking a multi-faceted approach to this issue,” Badaru said. “We are reviewing all security challenges in various areas to develop the best solutions to ensure lasting peace and security.”

With the clock ticking down to the president’s target, the military’s operations against insecurity and criminality are set to escalate as the country strives for a more secure future.
