Video Surfaces Showing Chris Uba In Heated Altercation With Artisan Over Alleged Non-Payment In London
A video has surfaced online showing a heated exchange between Chris Uba, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) politician from Anambra State, and an artisan who claims to have completed work at Uba’s London residence without receiving payment.
In the video, the artisan, a foreign national, alleges that his team finished a job at Uba’s home but were not compensated for their services. In response, Uba is seen ordering the workers to leave his house, stating, “Leave my house, I am not owing you. I said leave my house.”
The video captures a foreigner and the voice of another person behind the camera, who accuses Uba of physically assaulting one of the workers named Suleiman. The man behind the camera is heard saying, “Look at me, why are hitting him? Why are you hitting him?”
Uba replies, “Shut up. Get out, your are a f00l. You are another criminal.”
The person behind the camera reiterates that Uba refuses to pay for the work done, stating, “We have done work for him, the whole house – Suleiman – he is trying to beat him. He is a hard man. Are you a hard man here? Are you a tough man? Tough man, the police is going to see that if you don’t want to pay money.”
In response, Uba dismissively says, “You are too small.”
As the video concludes, Uba is seen charging towards the person filming the incident.
The video has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for an investigation into the allegations of assault and non-payment of services. The incident has raised questions about the conduct of political figures and their treatment of workers, both domestic and foreign.
At the time of reporting, Chris Uba has not issued an official statement addressing the allegations made in the video. The authorities have not yet commented on whether an investigation will be launched into the matter.
