Tinubu Came With Limited Experience, Needs PDP’s Help — Sowunmi
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Sowunmi, says President Bola Tinubu came into office with limited experience in managing a complex country like Nigeria.
“The best of his experience was sitting and managing Lagos. Lagos is not Nigeria,” Sowunmi said on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Monday.
“You cannot run a big nation like ours in the manner that suggests you have not thought through your policies and you have not come up with creative ways to solve the problem,” he said, adding that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration needs the help of the PDP.
The PDP chieftain said one of Tinubu’s contenders in the 2023 election, former President Atiku Abubakar, would have managed the economy better and there wouldn’t have been any need for the planned #EndBadGovernance protest gaining momentum among youths.
