“Wanted No More: Portable Surrenders After Brutal Attack on Officials”
Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, following an alleged assault on government officials. The ‘Zazu’ crooner, who was declared wanted by the police on February 18, 2025, in connection with an attack on officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA), turned himself in to the police in Lagos State on Wednesday.
He was transferred to the Ogun State Police Command and presented in court the following day to face charges related to the February 5, 2025 incident. According to reports, Portable led an attack on OGPDPA officials during an enforcement exercise at his bar in the Sango Ota area. The assault left several officials injured, while nine of Portable’s associates were arrested at the scene. Portable, however, managed to evade capture until he recently surrendered.
The Ogun State Government has strongly condemned the singer’s actions, labeling him a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal” and emphasizing that he remained a wanted man despite his claims of being a psychiatric patient. The legal proceedings against Portable are ongoing, and the case has attracted significant public attention due to the singer’s controversial actions.
