Prominent Imo-based lawyer and member of the General Council of the Bar (GCB), Ike Augustine Esq, has strongly criticised activist-turned-lawyer Deji Adeyanju Esq over a video recently posted by Adeyanju on his Facebook page.
Augustine Esq, slammed Adeyanju Esq for behaving like a motor pack urchin and subjecting law interns at his law office to inhuman and degrading treatments.
Augustine Esq commented on a video published by Adeyanju Esq on his Facebook page where he placed a called to the mother of one of his interns.
In the call, Adeyanju Esq informed the mother of his intern that her son is well behaved and have good work ethics.
Augustine Esq, a General Council of the Bar, GCB, Member, accused Adeyanju Esq of invading the privacy of his interns by publishing the video of their private calls to his millions of followers on social media.
“I know you are doing all these for clout but the internet never forgets, …………… Deji Adeyanju, you are supposed to be undergoing pupillage. What are these students going to learn from you?…… Why are you subjecting these students to inhuman and degrading treatment including invading their privacy?….. Adeyanju Deji is just behaving like a motor pack urchin”, Mr Augustine wrote in response to Adeyanju Esq Video.
Augustine condemned the action as unprofessional and degrading to the interns involved. He questioned Adeyanju’s fitness as a legal mentor, especially during his pupillage period, and expressed concern over what law students and interns could possibly learn from such conduct.
