Zamfara govt suspends District Head

The Zamfara State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has suspended the District Head of Sabon Garin in Gusau, Haliru Magajin Sabon Garin.

The decision followed a thorough investigation into undisclosed allegations against the traditional ruler.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by the Senior Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Bello Aliyu Acha.

According to the statement, the suspension was in line with the state government’s commitment to uphold principles of justice and fairness, ensuring that leaders within communities adhere to the highest ethical standard.

“The Ministry would conduct a detailed inquiry to ascertain the facts surrounding the allegations against him,” the statement said.

It further stated that actions would be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
