ZAROTA Pushes for Cleaner, Safer Roads in Zamfara as Commandant Issues Key Appeal

The Commandant of the Zamfara State Road Traffic Agency (ZAROTA), MB Musa, has called on road users to take active steps in preventing hazards and ensuring safety on the roads of Zamfara. He emphasized the importance of reducing accidents and maintaining a safe, clean environment for all road users.

In a statement issued by ZAROTA’s Public Relations Officer, Saleh Kwaren Shinkafi, Musa urged the public to cease the practice of dumping sand, soil, concrete, or waste materials on roads, explaining that such actions not only contribute to road hazards but also hinder traffic flow and safety.

The Commandant also appealed to individuals who wash motorcycles, tricycles, or cars on public roads to stop these activities, as they violate existing regulations. Additionally, he called for street vendors and traders to relocate their businesses off the roads and pedestrian walkways, stressing that these areas should be kept clear for public passage and vehicular movement.

Zamfara Road Users Warned Against Violations as ZAROTA Enforces Safety Measures

Musa urged motorists and residents to cooperate with the ZAROTA agency and follow its guidelines. He also reminded the public of the importance of registering vehicles within the state to avoid being penalized. The Commandant thanked Governor Dauda Lawal for his support in helping the agency achieve its goals and acknowledged the cooperation of the state’s residents.

He concluded by warning that any violations of ZAROTA’s regulations would be met with disciplinary action in line with the law, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to maintaining road safety and order in Zamfara State.
