2 Die In Bauchi Truck Accident
A tragic accident claimed the lives of two people when a truck carrying cattle to Gadar-Maiwa Market somersaulted into a stream in Bauchi State.
Eyewitnesses reported that the crash occurred after the truck struck a pothole, causing its tyre to burst before it later somersaulted.
The accident, which occurred Monday morning also left several cattle killed and other severely injured.
The condition of the truck and the speed at which it was traveling at the time of the accident may have contributed to the severity of the crash.
Efforts to get comments from the spokesperson of the Bauchi State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were unsuccessful as calls and messages to his mobile phone went unanswered as at the time of filing this report.
