In a swift turn of events, Mr. Suleiman Yahaya, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ilorin Branch, has been released from detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The release comes after a prolonged period of detention since his arrest on Wednesday, 26th July 2023.
The Nigerian Bar Association – Security Agencies Relations Committee (NBA-SARC), led by Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN, had earlier issued a notice informing members of the NBA of his arrest and steps taken to ensure his release.
The NBA-SARC worked tirelessly alongside various stakeholders, including the leadership of the NBA Ilorin Branch, to ensure compliance with a court order mandating his immediate release.
