Ebonyi State JSC Invites Lawyers of 3 Years Post Call to become Magistrates, Sets July 31 Deadline For Applicants

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Ebonyi State has announced vacancies in the state’s Magistracy and is inviting applications from qualified legal practitioners of Ebonyi origin.

 

In a notice dated July 16, 2025, and signed by the Secretary of the Commission, L. N. Nwoka, Esq., the Commission stated that the available positions will be filled from the three senatorial zones of the state to ensure equitable representation.

According to the announcement, eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be of Ebonyi State origin.
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years post-call experience.
  • Be actively engaged in legal practice.
  • Applicants currently in pensionable employment are not eligible to apply.

Prospective candidates are directed to visit the Judicial Service Commission’s office (Administration Department) in Abakaliki to obtain the application form upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000) only.

The deadline for the submission of completed application forms is July 31, 2025.

The Commission encouraged interested legal professionals to seize the opportunity to serve the state judiciary and contribute to the administration of justice.
