Ex-minister Farouq to return to EFCC Tuesday after release on Monday night

Embattled former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, returned home on Monday night after hours of interrogation by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

She is expected to return on Tuesday for further clarifications on sundry issues that the anti-graft agency flagged in the course of its preliminary investigations.

the former Minister submitted herself for investigation at the headquarters of the EFCC on Monday.

Farouq is being probed over the sum of N37,170,855,753.44 that was allegedly laundered under her watch.
