Ganduje Back In Nigeria After UK Medical Trip

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has arrived back in Nigeria following a month-long medical visit to the United Kingdom.

Ganduje, who resigned as APC chairman in late June, returned to the country on Wednesday morning and has resumed activities at his residence.

He had travelled to London shortly after stepping down to receive medical care.

Dr. Ganduje served as APC National Chairman from August 2023 until his resignation on June 27, 2025, citing health issues.

After leaving the party leadership, he took up the Chairmanship of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on July 9, while former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Netanwe Yilwatda, was named as his successor at the APC.

In other news, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly placed a former Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, on its watchlist.

the former NNPC boss was placed on the watch list over the ongoing probe into the $7.2 billion refineries’ turnaround maintenance, Daily Trust can report.

Recall that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday ordered a temporary freezing of four bank accounts linked to him over allegations of fraud.
