Gov Okpebholo dissolves Edo Electoral Commission board, six others

The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has dissolved the boards of all commissions in the state’s public service.

The Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City on Tuesday.

Ikhilor said the dissolution of the commissions is with immediate effect.

He advised all chairmen and members of the commissions to hand over all government properties in their possession to the most senior public officer in their respective commissions.

He listed the commissions as the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, the Civil Service Commission, the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, the Edo State Forestry Commission, the House of Assembly Service Commission, the State Audit Service Commission, and the Judicial Service Commission.
