Guber poll: Kogi Deputy Governor Onoja loses own LGA Olamaboro to SDP

 

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja, has lost his local government, Olamaboro, to the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP).

the All Progressive Congress (APC), where Onoja belongs, polled 5,572 votes in Olamaboro while the SDP scored 22,173 votes.

The result was signed by the collation officer of the Local Government, Ogbufa Chukwudi.

It was earlier reported that he lost his own polling unit to SDP.

Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 1376 votes.

It was later gathered that Olamaboro Local Government’s total votes cast were 30,226, while 29731 were rejected and 495 were invalid votes.
