Niger APC bars members from discussing party conflicts on any media platform

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Niger State has barred all members from discussing the party’s internal crisis on any media platform.

The development was contained in a letter signed by the state acting secretary of the party, Shuaibu Isah, dated November 24.

The letter stated that the ban followed resolutions reached during the party’s Working Committee meeting, saying all problems that may emanate from all levels should not be taken to the media.

The party vowed to ensure that any member who violates the directive would be punished according to the party’s constitution.

The letter read: “I’m directed by Mr Chairman-Alh. Aminu Musa Bobi to convey the above subject matter and to recall among the resolutions reached during the formal Working Committee meeting that all problems that may emanate from the LGA Executive Committees and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the local government level down to the wards should not in any way attempt to go on air to make any public broadcast either in radio, television or any means of public broadcasting.

“Meanwhile, all problems and conflicts shall henceforth be channelled through the party for reconciliation and resolution.

“Henceforth, anyone that fails to comply with the directives above shall be dealt with by the constitutions of our great party”.
