Reps gift N100 million to Nigerian Olympic team

The House of Representatives has donated N100 million to the Nigerian Olympic team for the Paris Olympics.

The Deputy Speaker, Ben Kalu, announced this on Wednesday when the House hosted the Minister of Sport, John Enoh, and the team during plenary.

The Deputy Speaker announced that the money would be taken from the salaries of the members.

“The money is coming from our salaries,” Mr Kalu said.

Additionally, the Chairman of the House Committee on Army, Aminu Balele (APC, Katsina), donated N3 million to the team. The money was presented during plenary.
