Tribal politics behind Nnamdi Kanu’s detention will tear Nigeria apart – IPOB lawyer, Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, the special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has warned against tribal politics, which he said is responsible for the pro-Biafra agitator’s continued detention.

Ejimakor disclosed that tribal politics would tear Nigeria apart.

In a tweet, Ejimakor wrote: “A politics that’s based on tribe and ethnicity is doomed to tear a country apart” – Barack Obama.

“The continued detention of #MNK is not based on law but on the same politics of tribe that will surely tear Nigeria apart, sooner than later. You can’t have it both ways. Never!”

Kanu had remained in detention since he was arrested in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria.

He was picked up over his agitation for Nigeria’s break up and the actualization of Biafra.
