Zamfara: Gov Lawal advocates involvement of traditional leaders in LG governance

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has advocated the inclusion of traditional rulers in the management of Local Government for effective service delivery.

This was contained in a statement by the Information Officer of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdullahi Muhammad and made available to newsmen in Gusau.

The statement said the Governor, who spoke through the Deputy Governor, Mallam Mani Mummune maintained that the involvement of traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders will no doubt foster growth and development in the councils.

The governor made the call at a workshop organised by the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for Council Chairmen and their Vice Chairmen in Kaduna to prepare them ahead of their task of managing council resources.
